mood board:
The purpose of my improved mood board is to show a collection of pictures relating to the genre of music that my magazine is based on and to also show the different colour schemes that will make up the main designs of the magazine. Similarly the mood board is particularly useful for me in the pre production as it enabled me to get ideas flowing for different features of the magazine, such as fonts, colour schemes and for the general style of the magazine. By doing this it enabled me to dig deeper into the indie genre, so I went from including more well known indie bands such as Arctic Monkeys in my plan to changing it so that I was including less well known bands such as Hunny T and blossoms in my plan.

Font styles:

I chose the font bad signal for the mast head of my magazine as it is bold and the style of the font looks like the sound feedback can be defined as. With this font I hope to achieve a grasp of interest from my target audiences. As my target audience are more arty than academic, the aim of having a large and bold font is to grasp their artistic interests. Moreover as magazine reading can act as an escapism from society, and so I want the font to be easily legible.
This font is potentially going to be used for subheadings and band names on the front cover, however I will be using Richela kids and the hurraca company fonts for alternate editions of the magazine. Similarly this font may be illegible to some people which is discouraging to readers if they're paying for a magazine that they can't read.
The font Richela Kids will be used for the main body of the magazine articles. This font is simple and easily eligible for the readers of the magazine. As this font is simple it can be used in large quantities without being overwhelming.

I chose the font the hurraca company for my straplines and tag lines. This font is slightly softer than my masthead font, however the aim of using a softer font is to encourage people to read the articles in the magazine. Also If the font is big then it makes the articles less crowded and busy and so doesn't put people off reading the magazine- personally if there is too much writing on a page in a magazine, I will skip to one with both pictures and writing- this is something I want to prevent with my magazine. Moreover as my target audience is less academic and more arty, my aim is to use bright colours and eye catching materials whilst also including detailed music articles.
I chose these colours as they are the most bold and outstanding colours of my mood board. Similarly I feel that these colours coordinate with each other and so will work well together in the magazine. The colours will feature in the photos as well as the main body of the magazine. The style of the main body of the magazine will be bold and uncoordinated to represent London teen culture as it more stylish to be different and quirky now a days- I want every aspect of the magazine to represent this, including the font style and colour. On the contrary these colours were simply favoured for my scheme because they are the most eye catching colours in the mood board. In conclusion I will use these colours simultaneously throughout my magazine and each colour will be used multiple times for different aspects of the visuals.

Risk assessments:

This risk assessment applies to all of three of the locations that I took photos at. Particularly because the photos were taken at night so it was dark during the photoshoot, similarly all photos featured have been taken with the exterior of each venue in the background. After visiting each location these were the most common hazards and risks.
